Once again, James Wei took first place in the G/10+10 tournament. Hopefully, these tournaments are helping him stay in good shape because, on August 1, he will represent Idaho in the Barber Tournament of K-8 Champions. This is a national US Chess Federation event hosted on Chess.com. We all wish you the best James!
Kenneth Erickson, from the CDA area took second place on tie breaks. Leonardo Wang got third. Congratulations!
For the blitz event, Griffen Herr, also from way up north, got his revenge on Kenneth and came in first on tie breaks. Josh Nelson came in third.
