Kaustubh Kodihalli and James Wei are the 2021 Co-champions! The Annual MLK Blitz is held every year during MLK Week and this year it was held online at chess.com. Only 7 players showed up for the event as players need to be ICA members for titled events and blitz is rather scary online for many folks that struggle with the mouse, pre-moves, and the fast pace. This is James third time winning the Blitz Championship! Kaustubh and James have indeed been dominating our online tournaments but are great competitors in that they will discuss the games with their opponents and help them learn from their mistakes. It is always a pleasure to play these young men and I hope they continue to challenge Idaho to be the best! Next week we will host a scholastic event (Jan. 30) and a Winter Tournament is scheduled for February 6.
