Idaho won 2nd place in the Percentage Gain Category of the US Chess Membership Appreciation Program. At the end of 2016, the total membership of Idaho was 237 and by the end of 2017 it was 314. This is a 32.5% increase and launched Idaho into 2nd place for the first time.
Judy Misner, Director for Administration, sent an award letter and an invitation to the ICA to the US Chess annual Awards Luncheon held in August during the US Open. She said, "Thank you for working to promote chess and US Chess Membership. Your efforts are appreciated by US Chess and those you bring to the enjoyment of the game."
