Senior Open Announced!

If you are over 50 years old, the US Chess is considering you a senior for a new national tournament called the Senior Tournament of Champions to be held in conjunction with the High School, Junior High, Elementary, and Girls Tournament of Champions. To select Idaho's representative, we are hosting a Senior Open.

Round Times:Sat. 11:00 am, 2:00 pm, 4:30 pm, 7 pm.

Prizes:

  • Open Section 1st - 3rd place Plaques.

  • Winner is named Idaho’s representative to the Senior Tournament of Champions.

Registration: Must be 50 yrs. or older. FREE Online! $10 at door.ICA & US Chess Required. Other state affiliates accepted.

Games: Chess sets & clocks not provided. No Insufficient Losing Chances rule.

Tie-break Order: Solkoff, Median, Opponent’s Cumulative, Modified Median.

Byes: Maximum one half-point bye, Rounds 1-3, commit before round is paired. 0-point bye round 4.

**By entering the tournament, permission is given to the organizers to use photos for publicity and news on the world wide web, newspapers, and literature.
