Dylan Porth won the Christmas Blitzkrieg chess tournament that was held on Dec. 21 to become the Wood River Chess Club Blitz Champion. Blitz is fast chess, i.e., games with time controls less than 15 min. This tournament had each player complete their moves within 5 minutes! There were 12 players total and Dylan won 9 of 10 games. Wesley Brimstein won 2nd place, and River Shepard won 3rd place. Each player won valuable chess pieces to add to their collection.
