Photo Policy

By entering an Idaho Chess Association event, permission is given to the ICA to use photos for publicity and news on the world wide web, newspapers, magazines, and school literature.

Background Checks

Individuals, organizers, and volunteers for the Idaho Chess Association undergo criminal records check related to felony and misdemeanor convictions in the past 7 years. Crimes of particular concern include crimes involving weapons and crimes of a sexual nature. Information is independently confirmed and confidential.

Non-discrimination

The Idaho Chess Association values diversity and equality and encourages all chess players, irrespective of their gender, race, ethnic origin, disability, age, nationality, national origin, sexuality, religion or belief, marital status and social class. We oppose all forms of unlawful and unfair discrimination.

Scholarship

The Idaho Chess Association covers the registration costs for individuals in financial or economically prohibitive situations.  We maintain confidentiality and protect individual rights.  Please contact us if you are in need of assistance.  Costs should not be a factor as to whether a player can play in a tournament.
